The Style Secret Air is BaByliss’s take on hands-free curling. Instead of using airflow to pull hair onto the barrel, as the Dyson Airwrap does, a motor rotates the 25mm ceramic-coated barrel and winds the section for you, then heat and airflow set the curl. You choose from an airflow-only mode or 170°C, 185°C and 200°C, four curl timers and three rotation directions, so you can go from loose waves to tighter curls. The important difference from an Airwrap is that this is a curler, not a dryer: you dry your hair first, then curl it. It suits anyone who wants Airwrap-style curls without learning to wrap by hand, and it costs a fraction of the price. Auto shut-off and a heat mat are useful for a gift. The model code C6686U is the UK/Ireland version.
