Oral-B Pro 1 Electric Toothbrush with 3D Cleaning, Gum Pressure Control & 1 Brush Head (Blue)

Our Verdict

The Pro 1 is the cheapest Oral-B rechargeable worth considering for most adults. It uses the classic small round head with Oral-B’s 3D action, has three modes including Sensitive, and a timer in the handle buzzes every 30 seconds to move you on to the next part of your mouth. Instead of a warning light, Gum Pressure Control stops the pulsing movement when you press too hard, which still gets the message across. Its real strength is running cost: it takes Oral-B’s standard heads, which are among the cheapest genuine replacement heads you can buy, especially in multipacks. The trade-offs: a lot of owner reviews complain about battery life and slow recharging, so expect to leave it on its stand, and there is no travel case. The two-pin charger is listed as a UK shaver plug, although a buyer reports receiving a round-pin European plug. Either type suits a shaver socket that takes both, or an adaptor that accepts that plug type.
