Independent Editorial Assessment

Our Verdict

Skipping is one of the most space-efficient ways to get your heart rate up, and this rope adds a jump counter in the handle so you can set a target, count down a timer and see your numbers in the Renpho Fit app. The clever part for Irish apartments and low-ceilinged terraced houses is the ropeless mode: swap the rope for the included weighted attachments and you get the same arm movement without clipping the light fitting. The rope itself is a coated steel cable, 3m long, and adjusts for different heights without cutting. It cannot do anything about impact noise, so if there is a neighbour below, jump on a mat, keep it to sociable hours or take it outside on a dry day.

Key Features & Irish Specs

Great for

Quick cardio sessions at home
Low ceilings, thanks to the ropeless mode
A New Year or stocking-filler fitness gift

Skip it if

You only want a basic rope – a plain speed rope costs much less
You would rather not use an app – the counter works on its own, but the stats need it
