Apple Watch Series 11 (GPS, 46mm) – Jet Black Aluminium Case with Black Sport Band, M/L

Our Verdict

The Series 11 is the Apple Watch to choose if you want the full set of Apple’s health tools rather than the basics. Over the SE 3 it adds the ECG app, blood oxygen readings and hypertension notifications, which Apple describes as spotting signs of chronic high blood pressure over time, plus a larger, brighter wide-angle OLED display than the SE 3, under Ion-X glass that Apple says is twice as scratch resistant as the previous generation’s. Battery life is the other real gain: Apple quotes up to 24 hours of normal use and up to 38 hours in Low Power Mode, so you can usually wear it overnight for sleep tracking and charge it while you get ready in the morning, and a 30-minute top-up gets it to about 80%. Workout tools include training load, Pacer and Heart Rate Zones, and Apple was including three months of Apple Fitness+ with a new watch when this listing was checked. It still only works with an iPhone, still needs charging every day or so, and the health alerts are prompts to talk to your GP, not a diagnosis. This listing is the 46mm GPS model with the M/L strap; the S/M strap, the 42mm case and the cellular versions are separate listings. A newer Series model was also on Amazon.ie when this was checked, so compare the two on Apple’s site before you buy.
