Our Verdict

The BaByliss Air Style 1000 is one of the cheapest ways to get the main jobs of a multi-styler from one handle. The drying nozzle takes the moisture out first, the 50mm thermal brush adds body and volume, the paddle brush smooths, and a conical curling attachment gives waves and curls. Ionic frizz control is included. It is a conventional hot-air styler rather than a high-speed multi-styler like the Airwrap: at 1,000W it is gentler and slower than a full-size dryer, so long or thick hair dries faster if you rough-dry first, and the curling attachment is manual. It suits someone who wants to try the multi-styler routine before spending more. The 2136U model code is the UK/Ireland version.
