Philips Sonicare for Kids Sonic Electric Toothbrush with Bluetooth and App, for Ages 3+ (HX6322/04)

Our Verdict

The Sonicare for Kids costs more than Oral-B’s Pro Kids, and the reason to pay it is the app. The brush connects over Bluetooth to the Philips Sonicare For Kids app, where an animated character called Sparky coaches children through the two minutes with animations and rewards. The handle stores up to 20 brushing sessions, so you can sync later and see how they are getting on, which suits parents who want to know whether the evening brush really happened. Two power settings cover a younger child (lower) and an older one (higher), the timer prompts them around the mouth, and Philips quotes up to two weeks per charge. The listing is not consistent about the box: the product details list two heads (one for ages 4+, one for 7+) and eight stickers, while one bullet describes a single head, so check the contents before you buy. Before buying for the app, check that it is available for your phone; the brush still works as a timed sonic brush without it. No pressure sensor is listed, and the charger has a two-pin shaver-socket plug of a type the listing does not state; parts of the product details are in German, so a European two-pin plug is possible, and your shaver socket or adaptor should accept that type.
