Independent Editorial Assessment

Our Verdict

The problem with most massage guns is that the place you most want one, between and below the shoulder blades, is the place you cannot reach on your own. The Reach solves that with a long, non-slip extension handle that comes off when you want to use it as a normal handheld gun on legs and arms. RENPHO quotes an 8mm massage depth, four heads, five speeds up to 2,800rpm and an auto mode that ramps up and down with the pressure you apply. It charges over USB-C (with PD support), but only the cable comes in the box, so you need a USB phone charger or a laptop port. RENPHO rates the brushless motor at under 45dB; treat that as a guide rather than a measured figure, since brands measure noise differently. The 8mm stroke is shallower than the 10mm of the RENPHO Smart, so it is better for general tightness and back knots than for deep work on big quads.
