At 2,400W it sits at the top of the usual range for home dryers, with three heat and two speed settings, a cold shot and ionic frizz control. The 2.5m cord is long enough to reach a mirror from a bedroom socket, and a five-year warranty is unusually long at this price. Only a concentrator comes in the box, so if you have curly hair and want to diffuse, look at a model that includes a diffuser. This 5240U is the UK/Ireland model with a 3-pin plug.
