Beldray 30 Metre 3-Tier Tower Airer – Foldable Carbon Steel Clothes Drying Rack with Locking Wheels and 10 Hanger Holes (White)

Our Verdict

In an apartment, a terraced house or a box room, the problem is rarely drying line; it is floor space. A tower airer solves that by stacking three tiers in a footprint of about 69 x 62.5cm, giving 30 metres of line, more than the wider Brabantia HangOn, in a corner. Locking wheels mean you can roll it into the drying room at night and out of the way in the morning, and 10 hanger holes keep shirts off the rails. The trade-off with any tower is airflow: the middle and bottom tiers are boxed in by the tiers above, so they dry more slowly. Spread things out, put the heaviest items (towels, jeans, hoodies) on the top tier or nearest the dehumidifier, and turn the airer halfway through if you can. It is carbon steel rather than stainless, and it is not heated. Stock was low when we checked, so check the seller line before you order.
