This solves a problem that catches out a lot of people who upgrade to a Switch 2. Original Joy-Con still pair wirelessly with the new console, but they slide onto rails, and the Switch 2 uses magnetic Joy-Con 2 with no rails, so the new console cannot charge them. Once the old Switch is sold or handed on, the only ways left to charge original Joy-Con are a Joy-Con Charging Grip or a dock like this one. PowerA’s officially licensed station takes up to four Joy-Con at once, which suits a family that keeps a few for Mario Kart or party games, and each slot has an LED that turns green when that controller is charged. It runs from a USB cable rather than its own mains adapter, so plug it into a USB wall charger or a spare USB port. It is made for original Joy-Con only: Joy-Con 2 do not fit it. Owner feedback on long-term reliability is mixed, which is worth knowing at this price.
