It is a two-piece ball with a low-compression core, designed for the slower and moderate swing speeds most new golfers have, and Srixon pitches it on soft feel, high launch and low spin on full shots. Lower spin off the tee takes a little of the curve out of a slice and keeps the flight more manageable in an Irish breeze, and the ionomer cover is tougher than the soft urethane covers on tour balls, so it survives the odd thinned iron. This listing describes the 10th-generation (2016) Soft Feel, with a 60-compression core and a 324-dimple cover; Srixon has updated the ball since, so check the box if you want the latest version. For a beginner that matters far less than keeping the ball in play. If you are still losing several balls a round, start with used balls and move up to these later.
