Independent Editorial Assessment

Our Verdict

The PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro come with small feet for lying the console flat, but Sony sells its vertical stand separately. This Trust stand is a lower-cost way to stand any PS5 upright: it suits the Slim, the Pro and the original model (an adapter for the original is in the box), and it fixes to the console with a thumb screw rather than a screwdriver. The edge lighting cycles through six colours or a breathing effect and runs from the included USB cable, so it needs a free USB-A port or a USB charger nearby. It is a plain stand: it does not charge controllers or add any cooling. If you would rather the console looked exactly as Sony intended, the official stand is the alternative.
