The Game of Life is the kind of board game that comes out every Christmas and suits almost any family. You spin, move your car along the board and make the big decisions at each Stop! space, such as whether to go to college, get married or retire early, while Action cards and the investment tracker add twists along the way. Whoever has the most money at the end wins. It is mostly luck, which is the point for mixed ages: an eight-year-old can beat a grandparent on level terms, and nobody needs to read a long rulebook first. The listing notes some adult assembly, it is a full-size box, and it takes four players at most. Groups who like making real decisions will want something with more strategy.
