Rapsodo MLM2PRO Mobile Golf Launch Monitor and Simulator with 3 RPT Golf Balls (Grey)

Our Verdict

The MLM2PRO is a camera-and-radar launch monitor that covers both of the jobs most Irish golfers want one for: carry numbers at the range in summer, and a net in the garage through the winter. It sits on a tripod behind the ball and sends its numbers to the Rapsodo app on an iPhone, iPad or Android phone or tablet. Rapsodo says it reports 13 metrics, six of them measured, including spin rate and spin axis. That spin measurement relies on Rapsodo’s marked RPT golf balls, and three come in the box; with ordinary balls, treat spin as an estimate. Impact Vision replays the strike in slow motion, which is a genuinely useful way to see whether you are catching it off the heel or toe. Because it sits behind you, an indoor set-up needs room depth behind the ball as well as space to the net, so check Rapsodo’s minimum set-up distances against your room first. The real cost is the membership: simulation and several headline features, which may include some metrics, the video replays and Combines, need Rapsodo’s paid plan, and what is included has changed over time, so check the free tier and the current terms on Rapsodo’s site. When we checked, the listing also had an Amazon UK offer, sold through Amazon Global Store, selected by default; choose the option that says Shipper / Seller Amazon.ie.
